A Thousand New Roads...

"The mind, this globe of awareness, is a starry universe that when you push-off with your foot, a thousand new roads become clear..." RumiYesterday I talked about the ability to travel to a new place, without ever having to physically go anywhere. This is not as esoteric and far-fetched as it may sound. There are a myriad of ways that we can see proof of this in the world -  if we just know where to look. One of the most interesting and well-studied forms of mind travel is a technique known as 'Remote Viewing'. Remote Viewing in laymen's terms, is the ability to travel with the mind to a distant location to obtain and retrieve information on a 'target' that is unknown to the viewer.  The term 'Remote Viewing' was coined in the 1970's by two Stanford Researchers, Hal Puthoff, Ph.D.  and Russel Targ Ph.D. Their research  investigated whether or not the human mind could travel great distances and accurately perceive objects/people/things in distant locations. They were able to produce enough positive evidence for this, that the U.S. Government funded a $20 million dollar research program called 'Stargate'. The project ran from 1975 - 1995.I have attached a video of one of these Stanford researchers, Hal Puthoff, discussing some of the first remote viewing experiments that they did. Watch this short film clip and tomorrow I will delve more deeply into this interesting example of the ability to soar to great heights, without ever leaving the ground.
