Like everyone else I know, last night when I heard the news that Robin Williams had died from an apparent suicide, I was filled with deep sadness. He was a man who brought countless belly laughs to this blue marble we live on, but depression and addictions were two of the things he had acknowledged a lifelong struggle with. To say these two things are formidable opponents is a gross understatement, and I have to believe that the burden of living beneath them eventually exacted a horrible toll.

Today's quote is unusual, but for those it resonates with, hold on to it. Its wisdom will allow you to cling to the hope that the man who gave so many of us such joy to watch, did not mean to drown himself, he meant to keep swimming until he sank.
