Looking at the Stars
This is such a great quote to remind us of perspective! If something looks black and without resolve - this means in a sense we are 'face down 'on our issue. If we make ourselves flip over, we will have no choice but to see something new. Granted, we may not see what we want to see, but we are still able to see what we could not before. Sometimes we don't want to flip over... because there is some kind of strange negative gratification from being face down ( yep, me too!). This is ok for a bit, but if we take this analogy literally, who suffers if we decide to stay face down? What power do we have if we decide to stay face down ? What's the ultimate benefit from keeping this posture? There really isn't one; we can look at the gutter, or we can flip over and see the stars.
