You are a Soul

'You don't have a soul. You are a soul. You have a body.'

I think that for most of us life eventually brings us to that fork in the road that forces us to either adopt the philosophy behind today's quote, or abandon it. I  was reminded of this recently when I spent the afternoon with a young woman who is in the throes of trying to understand the pain in her life.  When describing her anguish she looked at me and said, 'It has left me nowhere to turn but toward the spiritual, there's nothing else left.'  She said it as if she had been defeated, but I knew better. Pain had just led her to that fork in the road and made her choose.  I trust implicitly that now that she has chosen, she will find her way home.
