I love today's quote. It speaks to me about what I often call 'soft silence'. Soft silence is something very special, and all together different from other kinds of silence. It is what forms between two people who share a deep bond. Soft silence is that rich quiet place that exists when we feel completely safe. It offers us refuge, envelops us like a warm bath after a long day, and holds us close the way a mother holds a child.

It is true that fascinating words make for lively conversation- but if you have someone in your life that will meet you in the silence behind the words, you have been gifted with the most profound conversation of all.
